Does CNC Machinist Tools need an account or internet connection?
No. The app does not require an account. Calculations, settings, history, favorites, and machine profiles are stored locally on your device. An internet connection is needed only when Apple processes or restores an in-app purchase.
How do I enter fractional inches?
Where inch input is supported, you can enter decimal or fractional values, including 1/2, 3/8, 1 3/8, and 2 15/16. You can also include an optional inch mark, such as 1 3/8".
What is included in the Free version?
The Free version includes the core calculation tools, including Speeds & Feeds, Thread Calculator basic geometry, Bolt Circle, Taper, Drill Size, and Unit Converter.
What does Lifetime Pro unlock?
Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase with no subscription. It unlocks Machine Profiles & Limits, Tap Drill, Advanced Thread Details, Metal Weight, Unlimited History, and Favorites.
How do I restore Lifetime Pro?
Open Settings and select Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account that made the original purchase. If restoration does not complete, confirm that you are signed in to the App Store and have an internet connection, then try again.
Why are my results different after changing units?
Changing between Metric and Imperial converts the displayed value while preserving the same physical quantity. Check that all fields are valid and that the intended input units are selected.
Are material densities or cutting parameters included?
No unverified material properties, cutting-speed recommendations, chip-load recommendations, thread standards tables, or drill standards tables are presented as app-provided engineering data. Where a custom density is needed, you must provide it.
Can I rely on a result without checking it?
No. CNC Machinist Tools is an aid for shop-floor calculations. Verify every result, machine limit, setup, tooling choice, and safety condition before machining. You are responsible for confirming that inputs and outputs are appropriate for your equipment, material, operation, and applicable procedures.
