1. Summary
FIT File Viewer & Repair is provided by Coobbi, an individual developer ("Coobbi", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how FIT File Viewer & Repair handles information when you use the iOS app.
FIT File Viewer & Repair is designed to process FIT activity files on your device. We do not operate a server that receives, stores, or analyzes the FIT files that you import. We do not require an account, display advertising, use third-party advertising SDKs, or use our own analytics or tracking tools.
2. Information processed on your device
FIT files can contain activity information such as route coordinates, timestamps, distance, speed, heart-rate values, lap data, sport type, and device-generated activity metadata. FIT File Viewer & Repair reads this information locally to provide viewing, diagnostics, repair, and export features.
The app does not upload these activity records, route coordinates, health or fitness information, or imported FIT files to Coobbi.
The app does not request access to your device's current location, HealthKit data, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
3. Local recent-file information
When you open a FIT file, the app may store the file name and an iOS security-scoped bookmark locally in the app's private storage so that the file can appear in Recent Files and be reopened with your permission. The current app keeps up to 20 recent-file references. The original FIT file remains in the location you selected; Coobbi does not receive a copy.
Imported activity data is held in memory while the app is being used. Generated GPX, CSV, and repaired FIT files are created locally and are only saved or shared when you choose to do so.
4. Maps
If you open the Map view, the app uses Apple's MapKit framework to display a route contained in your FIT file. FIT File Viewer & Repair does not request your current device location for this feature and does not send your route to Coobbi.
Apple Maps is an Apple service. Apple may process information needed to provide the map, such as the visible map area, device and request information, under Apple's own privacy practices. Please review Apple Maps & Privacy for details.
5. Purchases
Lifetime Pro is offered through Apple's in-app purchase system. Purchase processing, payment information, receipts, and refunds are handled by Apple. FIT File Viewer & Repair uses Apple's StoreKit framework to determine whether the Lifetime Pro entitlement is active. Coobbi does not receive or store your payment-card or bank-account information.
6. Sharing and exports
You decide whether to export or share a GPX, CSV, or repaired FIT file. If you use the iOS share sheet, the selected destination (for example, Files, email, or another app) receives the content you choose to share and its own privacy policy applies. Exported files may contain route, timestamp, distance, and fitness information.
7. Information we do not collect
Except as described above for Apple system services, Coobbi does not collect, transmit to its servers, sell, rent, use for advertising, or track:
- Imported FIT files or their activity contents;
- Precise route or device location;
- Health or fitness data;
- Names, email addresses, or account information;
- Payment information; or
- Usage analytics or advertising identifiers.
8. Retention and deletion
Coobbi has no server-side copy of your FIT files or activity data, so we cannot access, correct, or delete such data for you.
You control the original FIT files and any exported files in the iOS Files app or in the destination where you saved or shared them. To remove app-local recent-file references and settings, delete FIT File Viewer & Repair from your device. Deleting or moving an original file may make its Recent Files entry unavailable.
9. Children
FIT File Viewer & Repair is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's data practices change. We will publish the updated policy at this page and update the effective date.
